PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator suppressing deterioration in an electrolyte and preventing drop in battery voltage, and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery including the separator.SOLUTION: In a separator having a plurality of holes, each hole has a long hole having a ratio of a major axis relative to a minor axis of 10 times or more, the long hole has a major axis direction oriented in one direction along the principal surface of the separator, and the long hole is locally assembled in a cross section in the direction perpendicular to the major axis direction. The separator accelerates the dispersion of an electrolyte and suppresses local deterioration in the electrolyte. |
