PURPOSE: A device for joining high-strength components and a joining method thereof are provided to remarkably improve productivity by smoothly joining the components even though a high-strength material is included in the components. CONSTITUTION: A device for joining high-strength components includes a contact component (1), electrodes, a power source (5), and a controller (7). The contact component is a component for a welding device and touches a welded portion of a workpiece. The electrodes are included in the contact component for supplying a current to the workpiece. The power source supplies a current for the workpiece via the electrodes. The controller controls a power supply to the electrodes from the power source. The contact component is composed of a head piece (9). The electrodes are electrically isolated and exposed.
