PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication device of an internal combustion engine, which avoids clogging of the oil jet, while suppressing cooling of a piston by an oil jet, during a cold operation.SOLUTION: An engine 10 includes an oil pan 40, an oil jet 42, an oil pump 44, a flow-rate control valve 46 and a relief valve 48. An ECU 60 executes oil ejection suppressing control upon a cold operation. On the oil ejection suppressing control, the flow-rate control valve 46 is driven to a valve-closing side, thereby, oil is ejected from the oil jet 42 and, at the same time, the ejection pressure of the oil is suppressed in such an extent that the ejected oil does not reach a piston 12. Thereby, the piston 12 is prevented from being cooled by the ejected oil and warm-up efficiency can be improved. Further, the oil retained in the inner part of the oil jet 42 is prevented from being changed into sludge and the clogging of the oil jet 42 can be suppressed. |
