PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens having high aberration performance and a compact configuration while having a small F number (a large diameter) and a high variable ratio, and an imaging apparatus using the zoom lens.SOLUTION: The zoom lens comprises, in order from an object side: a first lens group with positive refractive power; a second lens group with negative refractive power; and a third lens group with positive refractive power. The third lens group with positive refractive power comprises, in order from the object side: a first lens component with positive refractive power; and a second lens component with negative refractive power in which a lens with positive refractive power and a lens with negative refractive power are cemented. The zoom lens satisfies the following conditional expressions (1), (2) and (3): (1) 1.4<|f/f|<2.6, (2) nd-nd≥0, and (3) nd≥1.8. |
