PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device, an authentication method and a program which are capable of performing biometric authentication with a simple configuration, shortening time taken for biometric authentication even for a person to be collated who makes authentication for the first time, and minimizing capacity required for storing data.SOLUTION: An authentication device 110 is equipped with a data acquiring section 112, an extracting section 113, and a collating section 114. The data acquiring section 112 acquires first biometric data 151 and first attribute data 152 on a person to be collated. An accumulation section 115 accumulates second biometric data 161, second attribute data 162, and ID data 163 on a plurality of registrants. The extracting section 113 collates the first attribute data 152 with the second attribute data 162, and extracts ID data 163 regarding the second attribute data 162 which satisfies predetermined collation conditions. The collating section 114 collates the second biometric data 161 specified by the extracted ID data 163 with the first biometric data 151. |
