PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system which efficiently keeps a connection between client devices and a server device in a push communication across a firewall.SOLUTION: In a communication system where a server device on the Internet is connected to one or more client devices on an intranet via a firewall, the client device includes: a creation means to create a connection for a push communication with the server device; acquisition means to acquire information about the transmission interval of notifications that are periodically transmitted to keep the connection, from the server device; and management means to keep the connection created by the creation means by transmitting the notifications periodically on the basis of the information about the transmission interval acquired by using the acquisition means. |
