PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for implementing a liquid crystal display panel with less variation of display luminance due to variation of observation directions.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel is a multi-domain vertical orientation type liquid crystal display panel in the respective pixels of which a plurality of kinds of orientation areas with different orientation directions of liquid crystal particles are formed, and includes: an active matrix substrate 1300 on which a plurality of pixel units are arranged; a counter substrate 1100 which faces the active matrix substrate; and a liquid crystal layer 1200 which is arranged between the active matrix substrate 1300 and the counter substrate 1100. The liquid crystal layer 1200 facing the respective pixel units is divided into at least two area groups I, II. All the kinds of orientation areas are included in the respective area groups. Then, the respective pixel units apply different effective voltages to the liquid crystal layers 1200 for every area group. |
