A side beam (21) in an underframe (20) of a railroad vehicle and a bottom end of a side pillar (31) inclined at the bottom toward a vehicle body interior are joined together via a joining member (71). The joining member (71) has a side beam fixing plate fixed to the outer surface of the side beam, and a side pillar fixing plate fixed to the bottom end side surface of the side pillar.</p>
