In a compressor, a closed container (1) and a compression element (2) are welded together at six welding points (8). A suction tube (11) for sucking refrigerant gas is attached to the closed container (1). A first direction D1 and a second direction D2 that are associated with a natural vibration mode of the suction tube (11) do not coincide with a direction in which any two of the welding points (8) are aligned. Accordingly, vibration of the suction tube (11) can be reduced by arrangement of the welding points (8) even if vibration of a motor is transmitted to the compression element (2).
