PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lathe apparatus for a wheel, which can attain long life of a chip for correctly cutting a wheel and can shorten time for correctly cutting a wheel. SOLUTION: A correctly cutting means has a first correctly cutting part for roughly cutting a tread and a second correctly cutting part for performing finish cutting of the tread roughly cut with the first correctly cutting part. A control unit controls the second correctly cutting part to start the finish cutting during the rough cutting with the first correctly cutting part, shortening the correctly cutting time for correctly cutting a wheel and enhancing correctly cutting precision.
