<p>The invention relates to a track wheel having a wheel body (1) which comprises a wheel disk (4), a wheel hub (2) arranged centrally in the wheel disk (4) and a wheel rim (3) supported by the wheel disk (4), and a wheel cover (20, 21; 40, 41) which is fastened to the respective track wheel (S1 - S4c), is provided for attenuating the sound emissions caused by the rolling motion of the respective track wheel (S1 - S4c) during driving, covers at least one of the end faces (7, 9) of the wheel disk (4) of the wheel body (1) with respect to the surroundings, at least in some sections, and is supported on one side on an inner region of the wheel body (1) associated with the wheel hub (2) and on the other side on an outer edge region of the wheel body (1) associated with the wheel rim (3). The track wheel according to the invention allows sound attenuation to be optimized in a simple and cost-effective manner.
