<p>The present invention relates to a multi-wavelength locating method and device for use in an aquatic media. To locate a radiation emitter (2) in an aquatic medium using a receiver (1), in particular a mobile receiver, a set ("MOT 4") of pulses of optical radiation having predetermined power levels is generated over the emitter, and then the position of the receiver (1) relative to said emitter (2) is determined on the basis of the received pulses. In addition, the following steps are carried out: generating, over the emitter (2), at least one other set ("MOT 5") of pulses having predetermined power levels on at least one wavelength exhibiting an absorption, in the aquatic medium, greater than that of the "MOT 4" set; and then determining the position of the receiver (1) relative to said emitter (2) by identifying the powers received in the reference set ("MOT 4") of pulses of optical radiation and in said at least one other set ("MOT 5") having predetermined power levels at another, more attenuated, wavelength.</p> |
