摘要 Multiple colour images of a same single image detected on a photo sensor plane are generated to determine a lens adjustment position for a defined region of interest in the image. The lens adjustment position automatically focuses at least the defined region of interest in the image. In one embodiment, a multiple colour aperture filter and two single element lenses (one being the inverse of the other) are used to generate multiple colour images (406, 407 and 410, 414) when an object within the single image is out of focus. In another embodiment, a metal dielectric interference filter is mounted directly in front of the photo sensor, to generate the multiple colour images. Disparity distances (408) and directional relationships between two of the multiple colour images are used to determine the lens adjustment position. When in focus, the multiple colour images of an object align (404).
