PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverted strut type damper capable of improving the ride quality in a vehicle and increasing the service life time.SOLUTION: The inverted strut-type damper 1 has a damper body D equipped with a cylinder 2 and a rod 3 capable of emerging in the cylinder 2, and an outer tube 4 which is connected to the rod 3 and holds two or more bushes 5, 6 in its inner circumference and into which the cylinder 2 is slidably inserted via these bushes 5, 6, wherein the bushes 5, 6 and the cylinder 2 are lubricated therebetween by filling a gap between the cylinder 2 and the outer tube 4 with a lubricating oil L, and the lubricating oil L is inhibited from falling by mounting a seal 7 brought into slide contact with the cylinder 2 in the inner circumference of the outer tube 4 and below the bushes 5, 6. The damper is also provided with a lower seal 8 disposed below the seal 7, held to the cylinder 2 and brought into slide contact with the outer tube 4. |
