PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermistor composition capable of retaining a preferred B constant in a wide composition range, having a low resistance change rate in use at high temperature and high humidity, and reducing the resistance change rate in oil at high temperature (e.g., 120°C or above). SOLUTION: A thermistor composition contains, as main components, manganese oxide of 25-70 mol% in terms of Mn element, nickel oxide of 0.1-70 mol% in terms of Ni element, and cobalt oxide of 1-70 mol% in terms of Co element. This composition contains iron oxide of 0.1-10 wt.% in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and zirconium oxide of 0.1-5 wt.% (not including 5 wt.%) in terms of ZrO<SB>2</SB>to 100 wt.% of the main component.
