PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device with a sustain electrode driving circuit in which an electric current path where a large electric current flows and an electric current path where a large electric current does not flow are designed independently. SOLUTION: The plasma display device comprises: a panel which has a scanning electrode, a sustain electrode and a data electrode; and a scanning electrode driving circuit 43 which generates a driving voltage waveform to be applied to a scanning electrode. The scanning electrode driving circuit 43 is provided with a first clamp switch of clamping the output to the high voltage side of an electric source for producing a sustain pulse and a second clamp switch of clamping the output to the low voltage side of the electric source. At least one of the first and second clamp switches is configured by connecting unidirectional control switches for always turning on the forward electric current and turning off the backward electric current, in parallel inversely to each other.
