The method involves determining and monitoring of charge state of anolyte and/or catholyte. The loading and/or unloading changing ratios of chemical composition of the electrolyte are determined based on the charge of an ion, or the chemical components of the electrolyte. The intensity as function of the wavelength of the electrolyte traversed by electromagnetic radiation is detected. The decrease in intensity between intensity of the emitted electromagnetic radiation and the intensity of the electrolyte passing electromagnetic radiation is evaluated. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) loading condition sensor for determining and/or monitoring of loading conditions of electrolyte; and (2) flow battery. |
