The invention provides an analog-to-digital converter (24, 26) comprising a first delta sigma modulator (400) comprising a first filter network; a second delta sigma modulator (450) comprising a second filter network; and a circuit to control a cross-coupling between the first filter network and the second filter network to regulate whether the analog-to-digital converter (24, 26) processes independent real signals or quadrature signals.
