PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a blowmold container which is free from defects such as whitening or heating creases and good in quality and the blowmold container produced by the method. SOLUTION: A PLA-made preform 10 is manufactured by using an injection molding machine 33, and the preform 10 is heated by a heater 34. The heated preform 10 is blowmolded by a blow molding machine 36 to manufacture the blowmold container 20. The preform 10 is heated at a temperature of 79-84°C during the blow molding, and the relationship between the height h<SB>1</SB>of the preform 10 to be blowmolded and the height h<SB>2</SB>of the blowmold container 20 to be manufactured by blow molding satisfies h<SB>2</SB><3×h<SB>1</SB>.
