A multiplicity of regions (2) embodied as keys are arranged on a portable data carrier (1), such as a smart card. Each region (2) of the regions (2) embodied as keys is respectively assigned a first (3) and a second (4) strain gauge. The strain gauges (3, 4) are preferably arranged on opposite sides of a layer (5) of the data carrier body (6). The regions (2) embodied as keys form an input region (10) and are preferably arranged in a grid, in columns and/or rows or a matrix, wherein the first and second strain gauges (3, 4) are advantageously connected in series respectively in groups (7, 8). |
