PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creation method of a temperature estimation expression for estimating a temperature of a coating component inexpensively, easily and highly accurately, based on a state of a structure change of a coating on a high temperature component to which a corrosion resistance coating or a thermal barrier coating is applied. SOLUTION: A test portion which is a portion wherein a structure change is not recognized in a coating on a used component in an actual machine is predetermined, and a test piece is prepared from the test portion, and the test piece is heated at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed time by a heating means. Then, a thickness of a portion wherein a structure of the coating on the test piece is changed is detected, and the temperature estimation expression for estimating the temperature of the coating member is generated, based on the thickness, in which a thickness of the portion wherein the structure of the coating on the coating component whose temperature is to be estimated is changed, and an operation time of the actual machine having the coating component are treated as unknowns.
