<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect beats synchronized with an audio signal with higher precision. <P>SOLUTION: A beat detecting device has a feature sound detecting means of detecting a predetermined feature sound from an audio signal including a musical piece sound, a first beat signal generating means of generating and outputting a first beat signal indicating beat timing of the musical piece sound in each detection timing of the feature sound detected by the feature sound detecting means, a second beat signal generating means of specifying intervals of beats of the musical piece sound from detection intervals of the feature sound detected by the feature sound detecting means and generating and outputting a second beat signal at specified intervals, and a beat signal selecting means of deciding whether the first beat signal generating means outputs the first beat signal within a predetermined period based upon output timing of the second beat signal generated by the second beat signal generating means, and selecting and outputting the first beat signal when the first beat signal is output within the predetermined period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
