PURPOSE: A vessel with a side thruster is provided to improve the fuel consumption rate by reducing the resistance due to a tunnel during propulsion. CONSTITUTION: A vessel with a side thruster comprises a lid part(17), a spindle part(19A), and a driving part. The lid part opens and closes the entrance of a tunnel(9). The spindle part is fixed to the lid part and supported to freely rotate. The driving part closes or opens the tunnel by raising or lowering the lid part through the rotation of the spindle part. When the tunnel is closed, the lid part has a front surface facing the outside of the tunnel and a rear surface facing the inside of the tunnel. An axial line(L2) of the spindle part is extended perpendicular to the axial line of the tunnel and deviated from the tunnel axial line. When the tunnel is opened, the front surface of the lid part gets close to the tunnel axial line. |
