PURPOSE: A set method of a carrier tape, a tape cassette, a mounting device, and a substrate manufacturing method are provided to automatically withdraw a cover tape by using a pair of rollers, thereby simply setting the carrier tape in the tape cassette. CONSTITUTION: A frame structure has a base positioned in a lower part and a plurality of supports (12) fixed to the base. A transport unit (15) is positioned in the frame structure and transports a substrate (1) to an X-axis direction. The transport unit includes a pair of guides (16) and a pair of conveyors (17). A supply unit (20) supplies electronic components to a mounting head (30). The supply unit comprises a plurality of tape cassettes (21) which is arranged according to the X-axis direction.
