COSMETIC COMPOSITION OF DEODORANT COMPRISING ESSENTIAL OIL FROM PLANT AND POLYPHENOL COMPOUND

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition for removing body odor is provided to suppress tyrosinase activity and melanogenesis using plant-derived essential oil and polyphenol compounds which remove radicals in body with a superior antioxidation activity. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for removing body odor contains plant-derived essential oil and polyphenol compounds as active ingredients. A plant is selected among peppermint, fragrant plantain, Hosta longipes (Franch. & Sav.) Matsum, Hemerocallis fulva, Convallaria keiskei Miq., and Cornus officinalis. The polyphenol compounds are derived from fragrant plantain and are selected among structural formulas 1-5. The polyphenol compounds suppress oxidation of palmitic acid.
