A schedule management device of a mobile communication terminal and a method are provided to search a schedule by each group or each person's name in a phone book, thus there is no need for a user to select and confirm a separate menu to view the schedule, while usage convenience is provided in terms of schedule searching and management. An input unit(10) inputs a command for viewing schedule according to each group or each person's name on menus of a phone book. A controller(20) controls the inputted command to read corresponding information according to each group or each person's name from a memory(30). A display(40) displays the read information. The controller(20) periodically checks the current time. If the checked time is identical with alarm notification time of schedule corresponding to the information, the controller(20) notifies a user of the schedule by showing a pop-up window on the display(40), or notifies a user of the schedule through an output unit(60). |
