PURPOSE: An environment-friendly coating composition is provided to restrain a use of an organic solvent in order to prevent the generation of volatile organic compounds, to reduce tackiness, to have a fast drying rate, and to improve workability. CONSTITUTION: An environment-friendly coating composition comprises biodegradable polyester, ethylene vinyl acetate or acrylic copolymer as a binder, inorganic filler, hydrophobically modified starch as organic filler, epoxy emulsified material as a plasticizer, and water as a solvent. The biodegradable polyester is selected from a group consisting of polybutylene adipate, polybutylene succinate, polybutylene adipate-co-butylene terephthalate, polybutylene adipate-co-butylene succinate, polylactic acid, and polycaprolactam. |
