A filtering device for use in filtering fluids used in a vehicle such as its fuel, in which case the device is to be positioned on the suction side of a vehicle fuel pump, or in filtering a lubricant used in the vehicle, the device including a filter body presenting two opposing panels joined together to define a closed internal cavity, in one of the panels there being provided an aperture, the fluid filtered in passing through the body penetrating into the cavity, in this latter a spacer being positioned to maintain the panels separated and prevent their mutual contact. The spacer is of open-cell polymer foam material. |
