An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a back light unit thereof are provided to form a blade portion at the edge area of an optical sheet adjacent to an upper plate of a lamp housing. A lamp housing(145) is arranged at a side of an upper cover(150) and includes a lamp(143) for emitting the light. A light guide panel(141) guides the light emitted from the lamp. An optical sheet(149) is loaded at the light guide panel. A blade portion is formed at least an edge of the optical sheet and relieves an impact from the outside. An LCD panel(110) is separated from the optical sheet and implements an image. The blade portion of the optical sheet is extended to the upper portion of the lamp housing. The blade portion includes a half-cutting portion formed at the optical sheet. Poly group resin is coated on the blade portion of the optical sheet. The blade portion is a portion except for the main portion for transmitting the light emitted from the lamp. |
