PURPOSE: A medium carbon soft wire rod capable of eliminating softening treatment and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce energy by thermal process by reducing a process for exteriorizing cementite in the manufacturing step of the wire. CONSTITUTION: A medium carbon soft wire rod is made of carbon 0.3~0.7weight%, silicon 0.005~2.0weight%, manganese less than 0.03weight%, aluminum 0.3~0.7weight%, phosphorus less than 0.02weight%, and sulfur less than 0.02weight%. Ferrite contains sphere cementite. Pearlite contains sphere cementite. |
