PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for assisting to diagnose a lesion are provided to display a moving path and information about a lesion candidate in order to diagnose the lesion, thereby efficiently diagnosing the lesion. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for assisting to diagnose a lesion includes a candidate detecting part (110), a calculating part (120), and a control part (130). The candidate detecting part detects a lesion candidate using a first image for a diagnosed part. The calculating part calculates a moving path instructing orders for diagnosing the lesion candidate. The calculating part determines the moving path based on the risk degree of the lesion candidate. The control part requests to obtain an additional image in order to diagnose the lesion. The additional image is improved in comparison with the first image, and includes a multi-planar reconstruction (MPR) image.
