PURPOSE: A method for controlling push alerting message transmission period of push alerting service through a communication system is provided to adjust the push alerting message transmitted according to a fixed transmission period variably according to network state and surrounding environment and then to transmit the message. CONSTITUTION: A response time measurement module (120) measures the time required to receive a response message from a corresponding communication terminal. A slot period setting module (130) sets "1/response time" as a slot period by using the time measured in the response time measurement module as response time. A period difference calculation module (140) calculates the period difference between the slot period set in the slot period setting module and the transmission period of the push alerting message. When the period difference calculated in the period difference calculation module exceeds a reference time T, a transmission period re-set module (150) resets the transmission period of the push alerting message.
