PURPOSE: A pupil extractor using a stereo camera and a method thereof are provided to match first and second images which are obtained through the stereo camera with a coordinate and to extract the pupil of an operator through a noise removal process after the computation of a difference image, thereby rapidly and exactly extracting the pupil with a few computation process. CONSTITUTION: A stereo camera(10) takes a picture of an identical operator as a first face image which has a white pupil and a second face image which has a black pupil with identical exposure time. A coordinate matching unit(20) performs a coordinate matching so that the photographed first and second face images have an identical time difference. A difference image computation unit(30) computes the difference image of the matched first and second face images, and extracts the white pupil.
