PURPOSE: A novel compound is provided to improve light emitting performance, lifetime, and efficiency of an organic electroluminescent device and to lower driving voltage, thereby being effectively applied to a full color display panel. CONSTITUTION: A compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. An organic electroluminescent device comprises an anode, a cathode, and organic layers inserted between the cathode and the anode. The organic layers contain the compound. The organic layer containing the compound is a light emitting layer.
