<p>PURPOSE: A touch screen device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve the touch sensing performance by correcting a baseline which is a reference of touch sensing according to the characteristics of a touch screen. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen panel (TSP) includes a driving electrode and a reception electrode, a driving electrode driver supplies a touch signal to the driving electrode, a reception electrode driver detects the variation of capacitance formed in the reception electrode. A controller (200) controls the driving of the driving electrode driver and the reception electrode driver, corrects a baseline for touch detection according to the characteristics of the TSP and judges a touch.
