<p>PURPOSE: An international call service system using a communications network and a phone number of a remote country and a service providing method thereof are provided to receive a call request from the phone number of the remote country and to deliver the call request to a portable terminal of a current place through an internet network. CONSTITUTION: A subscriber identification module (SIM) storing communications network subscription information of a current country is inserted in a current portable terminal (100). The current portable terminal makes a call using a communications network and a phone number of the current country. The SIM storing the communications network subscription information of a remote country is inserted in a gate device (200). The gate device is located in the remote country. The gate device receives a call request which is sent with a phone number of the remote country using a communications network of the remote country. The gate device delivers the call request to the current portable terminal through an internet network.
