PURPOSE: An electromotive water pump control method of an electric vehicle is provided to improve fuel efficiency by reducing unnecessary power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The temperature and the heat capacity of a cooling target are detected(S100). It is determined whether the temperature of the cooling target is over a reference value(S210). If the temperature of the cooling target is over the reference value, the heat capacity of the cooling target is checked(S220). If the heat capacity is large, a driving speed of an electromotive water pump is controlled at high speed(S230). If the heat capacity is small, the driving speed of the electromotive water pump is controlled at low speed(S240).
