PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of creases on a recording material which has fixation processing executed while being deformed, and is conveyed through a curved conveyance path.SOLUTION: A fixing unit comprises: a fixing member which is provided rotatably, and elastically deformed; a pressure member which presses the fixing member to form a nip part in such a manner that the pressed fixing member is elastically deformed to have a convex or concave shape in a rotation shaft direction, allows a sheet P to pass between the pressure member and the fixing member deforming a center part of the sheet P in the rotation shaft direction on a first surface P1 side to be convex, and thereby fixes a toner image on the sheet P; a conveyance path for conveying the sheet P having the toner image fixed thereon via a curved part with the first surface P1 side faced inside; and a discharge device which is provided further downstream of the curved part in the conveyance path, and conveys the fixed sheet P for conveyance deforming the center of the sheet P in the rotation shaft direction on the first surface P1 side to be concave. |
