PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need to input the fact that a user is on board a railway vehicle and the name of a station where the user gets on the railway vehicle, when searching a route from a present location of a portable terminal device while on board the railway vehicle.SOLUTION: Upon receiving a route searching request from a portable terminal device 50, a route guiding server 10 acquires from a user information DB 43 positional information of the portable terminal device 50 within a predetermined time from a present time point and acquires from a map DB 23 map data of the vicinity of the present location. In the case where the location of the portable terminal device 50 is moving on a railway route, it is determined that a user of the portable terminal device 50 is on board a railway vehicle. Information about the vehicle on which the user of the portable terminal device 50 is estimated to be on board (route name, station where the vehicle stopped immediately before) is acquired from a time table DB 33, transmitted to the portable terminal device 50 to be confirmed by the user, and on the basis of a response from the user, a departure station and a vehicle the user is on board are set. |
