PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater including an electrolyzer capable of enhancing removal efficiency for scale component, while suppressing an increase in cost due to electrode materials.SOLUTION: A heat pump water heater 11 includes an electrolyzer 41 for removing scale components included in water to be supplied to a water heat exchanger 21. The electrolyzer 41 includes a container 47 having a water intake 43 and a water outlet 45, and a plurality of electrodes 51, 52 housed in the container 47. At least one of the adjacent electrodes 51, 52 has at least one of a plurality of recesses 61 and a plurality of projections 62 for stirring water flowing from the water intake 43 toward the water outlet 45, between the adjacent electrodes 51, 52. |
