PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder arrangement position determining method capable of improving production efficiency through mounting of all types of substrates by determining a feeder arrangement position by taking account of the production efficiency of individual types of substrates.SOLUTION: A feeder arrangement position determining method of the present invention includes: a temporary feeder arrangement step in which a common feeder for housing common components and a non-common feeder for housing non-common components are temporarily arranged on component mounters; a bottleneck extraction step in which cycle time for each component mounter at feeder arrangement in the temporary feeder arrangement step is calculated for each type of substrates, and a specific component mounter whose cycle time exceeds tolerable cycle time is extracted for each type of substrates; and a common feeder reexamination step in which a specific common feeder of the specific component mounter is at least divided and mounted as a reexamination feeder of another component mounter, and the division is repeated until the cycle time of the specific component mounter becomes shorter than the tolerable cycle time for at least one type of substrate among a plurality of types of substrates. |
