PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a similar image with higher precision than the case where similarity of the image is evaluated by the appearance frequency of a local characteristic amount corresponding to the local characteristic amount of a query image.SOLUTION: An image retrieval device acquires a plurality of query characteristic vectors showing the local characteristic of an image to become a query, and selects a plurality of image characteristic vectors corresponding to each of the plurality of query characteristic vectors based on the closeness with the plurality of query characteristic vectors, and generates an image score of the image based on a total of score elements showing any of a plurality of images and corresponding to the closeness with the selected plurality of image characteristic vectors and the query characteristic vectors corresponding to the selected image characteristic vectors, and selects at least one of the plurality of images to become the retrieval object based on the image score. |
