PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and efficiently cool each heat generation part of a continuously variable transmission while suppressing consumption of a cooling fluid, by enabling supply of the cooling fluid extensively according to the operation state of the continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A belt cooling device is installed in a continuously variable transmission composed of two pulleys of a movable pulley 23 and a fixed pulley 22 and an endless belt 3 wound around V groove parts 10 of both pulleys, and includes an oil supply means for supplying oil to an oil pressure chamber 25 which is formed by being divided by the back face of the movable pulley 23 and the outer peripheral face of a shaft 21 pivoting the movable pulley 23, and a seal member 32 for suppressing the outflow of the oil in the oil pressure chamber 25 from between the movable pulley 23 and the shaft 21 to the V groove part 10 side. The seal member 32 is provided with a seal surface 32s contacting under pressure the outer peripheral face of the shaft 21 by an elastic force, and a deformable part 32b which allows the separation of the seal surface 32s from the outer peripheral face 21a of the shaft 21 by the centrifugal force applied to the seal member 32 accompanied by the rotation of the shaft 21. |
