PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the cost of a display device for a vehicle provided with an indicator displaying a plurality of pieces of information by switching.SOLUTION: Basic screens 101-104 displayed on a display are switched over in sequence each time a driver operates a switch (a normal display mode). The basic screen 104 displays an engine stopping time and a fuel reduction amount accompanied by idling stop. When an air bag device malfunctions, an interruption screen 105 breaks in and is displayed instead of the basic screens 101-104 which are on the display (an interruption display mode). When the engine is stopped by the idling stop, the basic screen 104 breaks in and is displayed according to an operation procedure of the interruption display mode. Thus, since the operation procedure for allowing the interruption screen 105 to break in by the interruption display mode is diverted also to the basic screen 104 which is displayed by switching in the normal display mode, the operation procedure in the normal display mode can be prevented from becoming complicated, and the cost of a display device for a vehicle can be suppressed. |
