PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue pigment dispersion composition for a color filter having high contrast, high brightness and excellent heat resistance and a blue pigment dispersion resist composition for a color filter containing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a blue pigment dispersion composition for a color filter which comprises: C.I.Pigment Blue 15:6; C.I.Solvent Blue 45; a phthalocyanine derivative having a sulfonic acid group; a polymer pigment dispersing agent having a basic group; an alkali-soluble resin; and an organic solvent, wherein the content of the C.I.Solvent Blue 45 is 1 to 50 mass% based on 100 mass of the C.I.Pigment Blue 15:6.
