PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manuscript reading device capable of suppressing a cost increase of the device without sacrificing productivity.SOLUTION: First image data to be obtained by reading a first surface of a manuscript and second image data to be obtained by reading a second surface of the manuscript are written in an image memory and transferred for printing. Control is performed to write (overwriting) data that has no relation with the manuscript with respect to a storage area storing transferred image data in the image memory with a predetermined clock. Thus, image data is deleted with the use of simple means without arranging a hard circuit exclusive for deletion. |
