PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid misdetection of an authentication key by an authentication device other than an object to be authenticated.SOLUTION: An authentication key 10 calculates a check code having been converted using a check code calculated from identification ID information generated by encrypting its identification ID code using a challenge code added to an ID transmission request received within a key detection range of an authentication device 20, the challenge code, and a predetermined conversion function (f), adds the check code having been converted to the identification ID information, and transmits them as reply information. The authentication device 20 detects a code error of the identification ID information using the check code, having been converted, of the reply information received from the authentication key 10, the challenge code, and a predetermined restoration function f', and performs authentication processing on an identification ID code obtained by performing decryption processing on the identification ID information using the challenge code when no code error is detected. |
