PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable polystyrene-based resin particle having excellent surface elongation in producing an expanded molding by an in-mold expanding molding method, having good fusion of the expanding particle each other even when the vapor pressure in molding is low, and capable of producing expanded moldings having high compression strength.SOLUTION: There is provided an expandable polystyrene-based resin particle provided by adding a foaming agent into a particle polystyrene-based resin, wherein 2.0-2.5 pts.mass aromatic solvent is contained based on 100 pts.mass polystyrene-based resin and the average chord length in a bubble in the pre-expanded particle expanded by 30 times bulk expanded number is within a range of 210-290 μm. |
