PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive humidifier capable of stopping a rotatable vaporization filter at a predetermined position without using any position sensor etc.SOLUTION: There is provided a humidifier that rotation-drives a vaporization filter by a rotating mechanism. The rotating mechanism includes: a drive gear 18 which transmits rotary driving force to the vaporization filter; a crank gear 31 which transmits power only when coming in contact with the drive gear 18 and rotating it in a forward direction and does not transmit the power to the drive gear 18 when rotating the drive gear reversely; a filter-rotating motor 19 which drives and rotation-drives the crank gear 31 in a forward direction and in a reverse direction; and a control section which controls rotation of the filter-rotating motor 19. The vaporization filter is made eccentric in the center of gravity so as to rotate to a predetermined position by its own weight when stopping rotation, and the control section performs control to rotation-drive the filter-rotating motor 19 in a forward direction to rotate the vaporization filter, and to rotation-drive the filter-rotating motor 19 in a reverse direction to stop the rotation of the vaporization filter. |
