PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for remotely attaching a wrapping member for piping, which is capable of surely and efficiently attaching a wrapping member even in the case that an obstacle exists between a worker and piping or piping is in a location inaccessible by the worker.SOLUTION: One end side in a curling direction of a wrapping member 2 which is curled so as to follow an outer peripheral surface of a pipe 1 is held at a front end part of a long-sized holder 3 (a holding step), and the wrapping member 2 held at the front end part of the long-sized holder 3 in the holding step is sent to the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 1 (a sending step), and the inner peripheral surface side of the wrapping member 2 at the front end part of the long-sized holder 3, which has been sent to the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 1 in the sending step, is engaged with the outer peripheral surface of the pipe (an engaging step), and holding one end side in the curling direction of the wrapping member 2 of which the inner peripheral surface side has been engaged with the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 1 in the engaging step is released to wrap the wrapping member 2 over the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 1 (a release step). |
